• They do not appear removable. I washed them carefully under kitchen faucet low stream to avoid getting water on parts outside the grids.

• No the plates are not removable but are relatively easy to clean. Just make sure to use butter or nonstick spray before using.

• They are not easily removable. There are a handful of Phillips and Torx head screws holding the iron in place. Honwever, I have noticed that due to its compact design, I've had zero need to remove the inner or outer irons for deeper cleaning.
