• No need for a cloud service, I have 3 cameras and it records very well in good quality video. The only difference with the cloud service is that with the service you can record LIVE when you check the cameras on your cell phone, and access to the videos in the cloud and/or in the Memory are faster and preview a thumbnail of the video. but you can chat live (without recording too) but I have been able to use it without the cloud to take care of my home without a problem.

• With the sync module 2, you have the option to use local storage via the USB port on the side of the module. Please note that it does not give you the same benefits as a Blink subscription plan.
