“If the blink video doorbell is connected to the wires from the old doorbell does it still need the lithium batteries to work or do the doorbell wires power it?”

• I had the same issue. The answer is yes. Which is kinda crazy.Then you will have to go through the wired setup to make the doorbell work. I actually called tech support about this. It’s still a great doorbell.

• Hi there, The Blink video doorbell should always have batteries installed in it, regardless of being wired in to a doorbell chime.
