“I'm looking for a camera for use in our vacation home (we have maintenance people checking on the place periodically). (1) when we go up to our place, is it easy to turn off so we're not continually recording? (2) can it be turned off remotely?”

The Blink System records 5 to 60 second video clips based on motion detection and sends an alert to your IOS or Android mobile device. You can also use the Live View mode at any time whether or not you have received notification of motion detection, however you cannot record in live view at this time. You are also able to manually arm and disarm individual cameras through the APP as well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend the arlo camera. I had better luck out of those. You can disarm them easily with the app. I did change to lithium batteries which work way better in the arlo. Don’t forget you will need WiFi to run either camera.
