A:AnswerYou are able to adjust your camera settings, view video clips, receive notifications, and access live view through the App on your compatible mobile device from anywhere as long as you have a WIFI or cellular connection. This is important to note for your cellular data plan, watching a five second motion clip without WIFI connection will use about 750KB of your data plan.
A:AnswerAssuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction.
A:AnswerWith regular use*, your Blink cameras will last a very, very long time on a single set of 2 AA lithium batteries. This incredibly long battery life is made possible through a proprietary chip technology available only in Blink cameras.
Here are a few things that may affect battery life:
-Placing cameras in high traffic areas and leaving them armed all the time
-Using Alkaline or rechargeable batteries. (We DO NOT recommend this)
-Slow Internet connection speeds
-Extreme Temperatures
-Extended use of Live View
-Weak Camera signal strength between sync module and WIFI router
-DO NOT use AA Lithium Ion or Li-Ion batteries as these carry a higher voltage and may cause issues with your camera.
- use of Enhanced mode on Blink XT/XT2
*Two AA lithium metal batteries last up to two years, based on typical use of Live View, motion-activated recording, and two-way talk (only available on XT2). Battery life will vary based on device settings, use, and environmental factors. Use of two-way talk will reduce battery life.
A:AnswerThe Blink System is fairly easy to set-up and only really requires following three simple steps, downalod the Blink Home Monitor APP on your compatible mobile device and create your account, connect the sync module to your wifi and add the cameras. As long as you have wifi and a compatible mobile device we ship everything needed to get started with our Blink System packages.
A:AnswerI'm not knowledgeable in this field, but I feel like the phone would not cut it. And then as soon as you leave, they would not work anyway. They need internet to run.
A:AnswerBlink does currently require a 2.4ghz WiFi-based Internet connection to operate. Assuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction.
A:AnswerYou cannot currently access your Blink system from your computer. The Blink App is currently only compatible with iOS mobile devices running 10.3 or higher, Android mobile devices running version 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and Fire OS mobile devices, running software version 5.1 or higher Devices: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android device and/or Fire HD 8, Fire HD 10, Fire (7"), Fire (8"), and Fire (10")

As far as how far away the system can be from your wireless router would depend on the strength of your internet/wifi, we recommend at least three bars of signal strength.
A:AnswerI don't see why they wouldn't work, they detect motion. But, I don't think the IR would work through glass, and you would not get any sound. And they are weatherproof, so I would recommend an outdoor installation.

A:AnswerYou need to download the Blink App which is available for Android or Apple. If you have capabilities to download the App then yes you can access the cameras on any phone.
A:AnswerThe Blink App is currently compatible with any iOS mobile devices running version 10.3 or higher, Android mobile devices running version 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and Fire OS mobile devices, running software version 5.1 or higher
A:AnswerThe batteries in the Blink are not rechargeable. They are AA Lithium and are expected to last up to 2 years. I have been using the cameras daily for over 1 month. No indication that they are running low.
