It uses battery and for me, they did not last a week for some reason. I have power supply's and removed the battery. All in all, it's a good system and is still easy to install. I may have not set this thing up correctly, but the AC power adapters work great.

Please try again later.The Blink XT2 cameras are battery operated however the sync module needed to operate the cameras would need to be plugged into a normal wall outlet at all times and within 100ft of the cameras in any direction. There are not any monthly fees for the Blink XT2 system once you have paid for the system.
