The Blink System does rely on a strong stable internet/WIFI connection, We do recommend at least three bars of signal strength for the camera to the WIFI connection.

Mine has never failed me. When I set it up I had to walk with the camera all the way across the house. I recorded the entire trip w/o interruption.
