They are not hack-proof and small enough to be easily stolen if left too low (for access). Remember, they have no wires what-so-ever. Power is via batteries. Source is via Wi-Fi. Just posted my 3 day use assessment in a online review here on Best Buy.

Without knowing your phone number or your wifi password it would be impossible. I don't know how a laser would affect the cameras. Probably wouldn't be good for it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no they are not hack proof. i bought them and within a matter of a few days someone unauthorized was turning on the cameras. i took them back to best buy and got my full refund. stay away from these!!!!!
