“How far away can the cameras be from the HUB and still work? Do the cameras need to be connected to "Wi-fi" to work? Or is that only for setup purposes and then the cameras can communicate with the HUB or base? In all cases how many FEET away from HUB?”

Blink does currently require a 2.4ghz WiFi-based Internet connection to operate. Assuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction.
