It starts at 10s then you can adjust. or set it to immediate. adjustments wear battery faster

The Blink cameras do turn on instantly once motion is detected to record a video clip however there are times when the notifications may be slow and this is most times due to the strength/speed of the WIFI or also how long you have the clips set to record as the notifications are sent once the clips have successfully uploaded. We have however recently added a feature on the XT2 cameras only to allow for early notifications.
