We mounted ours at the eaves and over the doors. They can be adjusted to pick up a wide range. We bought black, but I have seen them in white also. If I had seen the white first I would have bought white.

When I researched these a month ago, the white ones were for indoor use. That may have changed by now. I have seen "skins" that you can purchase and cover these to change the outside cover color.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have stucco and didn't want to put holes in it so we mounted ours just under the eaves about 12' high in the front and 8' high in the back. We have black, I'm not sure if they come in other colors.

At night, they provide visibility up to 20ft away depending on exact conditions. The best motion detection occurs when a subject walks across the field of view from one side to another rather than directly toward or away from the camera. Please keep this in mind for optimal motion detection before mounting your camera. We currently only offer the Blink indoor cameras in white and the BlinkXT2 cameras in black however there are covers for the XT2 cameras available in white.
