The card has an activation code on it that must be revealed to enable its use on the Blizzard Customer Portal Website. Blizzard does offer on their website a subscription services. I do not know at the moment but Blizzard was running a promotion rewarding players who sign up for 6 month subscriptions with a unique flying mount.
