It does not come with service , it's an unlocked phone you can either choose to get a postpaid or a prepaid account with the carrier of your choice

This phone is unlocked for your freedom of choice. You can order a sim card almost anywhere , I bought a trac phone 99 cent kit and had many sim cards for different networks. Look online for a good deal on a plan from almost any network provider and activate with them. I went with netzero at the time of purchase (3 months ago) but offers can change so look online.

I use tracphone, buy minutes and calander time--very economical for light use. Other plans are available from tracphone
