• It is pretty sensitive, but you can easily put it on a boom if there is too much desktop noise.

• i use this on my ps4 and it picks up every little sound. I can lightly tap my desk and it picks it up quite loudly

• Depending on how close you have the microphone to the keyboard and how noisy the keyboard is you will pick up minor key noise. The cardioid mode helps to reduce that and when you are talking you don't hear it. It's sometimes in the pauses. I use Camtasia for my videos and there is a noise reduction feature for audio that does seem to get most if not all of the noise out. I was concerned about that initially but it hasn't been a problem for me as of yet.
