Doesn’t do well on Hipile / Shag Carpet. I found Lower Pile Does Best as Well as any type Flooring .. Yes it will go from Our Carpet to Flooring..

It should do fine on those kinds of transitions, it's other obstacles you have to watch for. The edge sweeper likes to find cords(including the one attached to its charging dock), light weight rugs with tastes or long fibers, and any light fabric hanging down off a couch for example. But going up and down transitions it does pretty good.

Depending on the rug, some of my smaller kitchen ones it just pushes but the ones in my bathroom and entry way it gets up on them and vacuums just fine
