• It should...you just need to pick up a cable card (m-card) from your cable provider or call and have them drop one off. You then will go through a setup menu and the Tivo will instruct you to call your cable provider where they ensure the cable card are synced to your account. I'm not sure about TW, but you may also need a tuning adapter, which they will provide and tell you if needed when you get the cable card.

• Yes. I have Time Warner Cable and use my TiVos with it. However, you need a cable card to go into the TiVo (from TWC) as well as a tuning adapter if TWC is using switched digital cable in your area (it does in mine). All in all, it works very nicely and beats the heck out of Time Warner's DVRs IMHO.
