Setting up the dishwasher I've gone through all the steps shown in the manual however, when I close the door the unit the digital display goes blank and the only thing that appears to be working is the Info-light which keeps blinking. nothing else null

The Bosch has two different buttons - On/Off and Start, unlike my older GE which doesn’t have a separate On/Off button. Mine doesn’t have a separate info light.
When you say info light, I assume the light on top of one of the cycles, the default is Auto cycle, is blinking. It should also show you the time for that cycle blinking.
You would have to select the cycle and press start to use.
If this doesn’t help, you may be better off taking a video and posting, maybe that would help get you the answer you need.

I’ve only used my new dishwasher once, but I think if you have it on auto, which I did, or another setting, once you press start, everything should work. I’m just guessing though.
