The fans are audible but fairly quiet. The units are hard wired: they do not have a plug. Wiring it is very simple. Turn power off and duplicate existing wiring of old unit. However if you have never done any wiring an electrician might be a good choice
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just got the 500 series double wall electric ovens. So far, I do not find them to be loud. Can you hear them? Yes., but it's not offensive. They are less noisy than the old oven I had. If you can put red to red, black to black and white to white and ground your copper, you don't need an electrician unless your town requires a permit. If your previous oven is not wired that way, than yes.
