“I currently have a Jenn Air that is an electric slide in with a downdraft vent (there is no hood over the oven and it is in an island). Would this work in that case without a downdraft vent since there is no overhead hood/vent?”

Hi MO, thanks for your question and interest in model HEI8056U. This is specifically designed to work with Bosch ventilation. We cannot speak to how this appliance would work with other brands.
