I placed 4 301's in a 800 Sq ft garage. Seems like the perfect fit. Used eyebolts into ceiling with cut 3/4" Rachet straps to suspend in air and optimize spacial sound. WOW!! Added 12" subwoofer for deep base.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my opinion, the Bose 301 speaker system will work fine for a 600 sq. ft. area. That works out to a room size of about 25 x 25. That being said, everything is relative. If you want ear-splitting sound, get a second pair and put them in all four corners. Sit in the middle of the room, and run them through a good quality amplifier. They will knock your socks off. For everyday listening, one pair will work just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 301 Series V speakers are compatible with receivers rated up to 150 watts per channel. Since you are trying to provide sound to a fairly large room with these speakers, we would recommend an amplifier that can handle as close to 150 watts as possible. If there are other factors to consider (such as a high ceiling), you may wish to consider an additional pair of 301 speakers to cover the entire room. We hope this helps. Thanks!
