The Bose Bass Module 500 is an accessory speaker that only functions when paired with a compatible Bose soundbar or the Bose TV Speaker. It will not work directly with standalone Bose surround speakers. If you want a setup that includes both surround speakers and the Bass Module 500, you’ll need one of those soundbars as the central hub to tie everything together.
