Yes, but you must first hold the answer button down on the blue tooth for 2-3 seconds then it prompts you to give a command to your phone. The instructions are in the paperwork you get with the device.

Please try again later.I am not sure where you received your information but I have used this headset with my iphones, ipads, windows based phones as well as an Android phone and I was always able to utilize any voice function on any of my devices while I did NOT experience any difficulties. You may want to find a new source for your information in the future because whoever told you this hardware is decades behind in their technology has NO clue what they are talking about and is NOT a trusted source. The name "BOSE" is why I gave it a try and I will NEVER use anything else.
