“Hello I just purchased today a Bose Solo 15 Series II to replace a older Sony system with a sub. At this point I think I may want to return this for something with more bass. Would the Bose CineMate 15 fit my preferences better? Thank you”

I'm a fellow customer coming from the Bose Solo 15 to the Cinemate 15, and I would say that it is worth every penny. The bass is spectacular and the vocals are crisp and clear. I would highly recommend you to return the Solo 15 and buy the CineMate 15.
