They are mainly for computer use, so don't expect to put them on a shelf 10 feet apart. The cable between the left and right speaker is about 4 feet.

A:AnswerThey used to sell a version of the 20 w/ a sub. I did not find it necessary- it did not seem to add much to the experience. The 20 speakers w/o the sub have a great dynamic distortion free range for my purposes.
In truth though, I don't know.
