“I am looking for headphones that I can use out doors while running a lawn mower. Does the noise cancelling effect of the bose 25 block out enough noise that I can hear the music? My ear buds don't get the job done.”

Absolutely! I listen to audiobooks and had an impossible time hearing them while mowing the lawn - now they are crystal clear. Music will be even better - good luck!

You'll also get them sweaty and messy which will trash an expensive set of headphones. Get some foam earplugs or a set of earmuffs to wear when cutting the lawn they'll be much cheaper and give you much better hearing protection. The noise cancellation in these headphones is really just for comfort, they aren't designed to be hearing protection devices.

Please try again later.I have not had to try this exact scenario out; however, living in downtown Boston I like to run outside where the cars and construction and noise and life is taking place and these headphones do not exactly do the best job since I really want the music blaring in my ears. These headphone will do a great job of reducing the ambient noise levels allowing clear and concise music to be heard well enough making mowing the lawn great - I think
