Yes you could but the shape of the cups are not ideal for that so noise cancellation doesn't work

I have a problem hanging them to the rear of my neck. But these are so comfortable even with a cap on this old guy! I love wearing mine up top. Makes me think I'm a pilot!

They are really designed to fit over your head. I think wearing them sideways would be uncomfortable and probably wouldn't work

Yes, this product can be tilted back on the neck.

That is exactly what they are designed to do. They drape around the neck and go into the ear when in use. They also include other the ear hooks so they don't fall out.
