You will hear your lawn mower. They do not block all noise. Personally I wouldn't take $345 headphones and walk behind a dirty lawnmower with them. These are a luxury for me so they stay clean and sweat free. But the point is that you will hear some noise.

Imagine standing next to a running lawn mower while you squeeze your hands against your ears. That's what it will more or less sound like when the headphones are on and playing some sort of music.
