• Battery life is about 5 hours. These are unsuitable to sleep with.

• I do not recomend these for sleepin in. not very comfortable for sleeping in. I am also diabetic and have been looking all over for a good comfortable set of ear buds to sleep in as well, but without luck. I would recomend the Pillowsonic Under-Pillow speaker for now. Hopefully this helps you.
