Both the QuietComfort Earbuds II and QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are capable of producing the world-class noise cancellation that Bose is known for. Make sure that you're not in Aware mode with the ActiveSense feature activated in the app - this feature adjusts the noise cancellation depending on your surroundings, but isn't the same has having your earbus in Quiet mode.
