I bought one as a gift that's used with a 55" TV which is used to watch TV shows and sports regularly. As long as you're not wanting a sound system that has a subwoofer this is a great choice. It takes up very little space and has a very rich, clean sound! Depending on the size of your room, you may want more sound in which case I'd recommend consideration of the SoundTouch 300. It is significantly more in price, but the sound will blow you away.
