“do I need to buy a receiver for best sound quality or will this sound bar work well enough on its own because I haven't had much luck with previous sound bars by them selves?”

• BOSE soundbar has been excellent. We thought we had to replace our TV because the sound was going out, we tried the BOSE soundbar and it's perfect. Best Buy Guys are great!
