Yes you should be able too but when installed could not because had to update remote and receiver. Now need to have someone put code in to do this.

I have xfinity service, I was able to sync their remote to the sound bar. You will not see a digital readout ofthe volume on the tv. Also you will need to keep the sound bar remote handy to access the dialogue mode for the sound bar. This is a great product for the price
