This does have a speakerphone feature built into the speaker. It is a running change from the first generation of this speaker and has been very popular with customers.

Yes, it can be used as a hands-free speakerphone provided you have a phone connected (via Bluetooth) to it. Music is paused when placing or receiving a call and resumes once the call is completed.

It can be used as Bluetooth but their is no microphone for you to speak to.
