YES, it will stay alive indefinitely as long as it's plugged in to AC power and set up to disable auto shut off. This is exactly the reason I replaced my Series 1 with this speaker. Keep in mind, it will shut off automatically if it's running on battery power.

Simply press and hold the Bluetooth and Volume + buttons at the same time, a voice prompt (or tone) will confirm that the Auto-off setting is off. Thanks for the inquiry and enjoy the speaker!
