My husband is has a significant hearing deficit and uses Sony head phones that connect to the TV's audio via bluetooth. This allows him to listen to a program as loud as he needs to without disturbing me (I have have very good hearing). The Bose TV speaker does give you better quality sound than the TV's built in speaker and you can raise the volume quite high without sound distortion.

When the dishwasher is running a red light shines from beneath the door, you can see the reflection on the floor. When the dishwasher finishes the cycle the light will blink a few times and then go out. So you know the dishwashing is finished when there is no light. Also there is a drying option where the door automatically pops open when the cycle is finished. So you do not need to rely on hearing the dishwasher stop in order to know when the cycle is finished.
