“Once the sound bar is synced to Cable box remote, can you enhance the vocal or bass on that remote. Or do you have to use the Bose remote and are those settings saved? Also has anyone experienced any audio cut out for a second or two, with optical setup?”

I synced ours with a Roku remote and it controls the sound. You will need the Bose remote to turn on enhanced dialog or control base.
