“I just want to be absolutely certain before buying: if I connect this soundbar to my TV's HDMI-eARC port, will I be able to control the soundbar via my TV's remote (Samsung) and my ROKU remote? (I use the ROKU remote most of the time.) Thanks!”

I was able to use my tv controller with it. I am using the optical port thought. The only time you need the small controller is when it bluetooth or you are messing with the bass on the actual unit. I will try the hdmi arc and update.
