“I am concerned about the flexible part of the base cracking eventually with the sun and weather are those guaranteed to last without cracking in exposing the inside of that speaker”

Hi Brooks. Great question/concern. Bowers & Wilkins has conducted extensive environmental testing using UV light, salt spray and extreme temperatures to simulate years worth of accumulated exposure to the elements. I don't believe you'll have any issues and we stand behind our warranty.
