It's best to us if without the outter box. I think that will make it entirely too bulky and it might not stay in place. Remember it's a auction like cup attached to your window or vent so light orifices only should be used. How this helps.

I believe it will. I got a Note 20 Ultra and it's got plenty of room on the sides before you clamp it down.
