Depending on how secure it is on the glass, you may have to it some muscle to it. Not sure about the dashboard.

Not permanent. Base is held on by suction, so I don't recommend using on a textured dashboard

Not at all. One goes on ur vent(s) and the other can go on ur windows. Residue  an be cleaned with wipes.

I constantly remove it and reapply it. I've never used it on the dashboard, but since I use a sun shield I take it off my windshield when I leave the car and reapply when I come back. I've never had a problem getting it to stay or getting it off. I'm not sure if it would hurt the interior - it's a suction cup, so I suppose it could leave a pucker on the dash.

Hi.. I was able to remove it after first installation because it was not sitting well. I put it on my mum’s windshield and i have not seen any ruin. To show how strong the grip is, it doesn’t come off easily.

Hi there, thanks for your question! In addition to the vent clip application, the TripGrip mount has a suction cup with TemporBond technology to secure to your dashboard / windshield. This can be added and removed without leaving any residue behind. If you do remove the suction, I would recommend lightly rinsing the suction cup with water so that there is no residue stuck to it which could block suction. Thanks! Bracketron Support
