yes the deep sleep is fine now and the wifi system it has is better than the old one.. good but make sure you dont use it for an RV / or TRUCK or to plug in anywhere you are using a power inverter because it wont work

I've had mine for 2 weeks and it "wakes up" as soon as i tell it to print. As far as the Mac question I don't know, I use a MacBook Pro and it connected right away with no driver download needed.

Deep sleep has not been addressed. It will work with a MacBook Air because my Mac mini works great with it.

Yes it is compatible with the Macbbook Air, even with El Capitan.
