2,200 pages is the estimated life of the cartridge, and that estimate assumes 5%-6% black ink per page printed. So if you're doing simple text, that's about right, but if you're putting gray scale pictures on your pages you won't approach that many pages. I think I got ~1,400 out of my initial toner cartridge, but my kids use it for a lot of their school & scout projects.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The packaging states 2500 but it doesn't - it should say 2500 characters. I print each week approximately 150 pages and must replace toners every 4 weeks. It is really that sad. I am considering buying a different printer.
