Yes it should because you can play it in hand held mode. However I'm guessing that you couldn't use the gun part sincere the joy cons don't come off to attach to the gun. That said buy the game not the bundle with the gun.it Should be cheaper

You would have to sync up another pair of joy-cons to be able to shoot and aim.

All switch games work on switch light. You just wont be able to use the gun for joy cons unless you bought joy cons separate from the switch lite.
