“Can this microwave be used as built in unit? If not why doesn’t cafe make a built in microwave?”

• If you go out to www.cafeappliances.com they do make built-in microwaves. Whether you can buy an install kit for this particular microwave which was clearly designed to be installed as an over-the-counter microwave, I have no clue. You should contact Cafe directly for an answer to that.
