Hi there, we appreciate your interest in our microwave. Our over-the-range microwaves are not recommended for use above any range or cooktop that has a combined surface burner BTU rating over 65,000 BTUs. Combined surface burner rating does not include the oven/broiler BTUs. The only exception is if the cooking product is over 65,000 BTUs, but does not specify that a high performance (high CFM) hood needs to be installed. If this is the case, then you can proceed with the vent of your choice. We hope this information helps and we're wishing you the best! - Guy@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We do not have a high end stove like you, but it seem fine with our GE range. We just got ours and are still going through the manual, but I think I read that the blower will come on automatically if it gets to hot, but not positive about that. Ask sales person, they are pretty knowledgeable about there products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is the setup I have and it was engineered for that as an option. The installation instructions denote a certain clearance to the range as recommended (>x inches). As a side note, the filter/fan for stovetop cooking is pretty intense….it works very well.
