could this be mounted in an inside window, facing out? Im looking for something to overlook my parking area/back yard, but I dont want to put it outside where it might be seen. Would this work?

Yes, I have this mounted on my inside window looking outside my door entrance. I am able to see anybody that comes to the door. This has been extremely helpful when a delivery is dropped off on the door.,

Yes it can see over 120 degrees wide angle lens. But I'm not sure if the ir light will reflect back from the window at night.

You could try it but not sure if the motion detection would work through the glass very well. The do have additional cameras you can buy for the purpose but it would not align with your desire for the camera not to be seen.

It won't work, I tried it on mine putting it in a glass cabinet and especially in night vision, the red l.e.d. lights shine back at the camera. And it just makes a mess of a video. Canary flex possibly, between the window and screen...

It doesn't have any special hooks or crevices to use to mount , mfr suggest it be on a flat surface but I'm sure u can improvise with some type of housing she'll with a bottom platform to position it

Yes will work inside home facing out window; be carful of reflection though and be aware infrared will not work due to window reflecting back onto camera, during its low light (night) mode.

I think you could easily set it in a window sill and face it out to watch outside. It is a motion detecting device first and you would get alerts for that. You could always get it at best buy, try it for a couple of days, and if it doesn't work, take it back and try something else.

The Canary has limited mounting capabilities; it is really designed to sit on a shelf or other flat surface. As for having it inside a room but facing outside through a window, that would work but picture quality may be affected slightly due to glare from the glass. Hope this helps.
