No, it keeps records for twelve hours during which you can download them. For $50 a year you can have 48 hours if you need it. Other plans are also available, but you can stick with the free plan if 12 hours is sufficient.

They no longer offer longer video and night mode unless you pay the monthly fee.

They did offer upgraded and premium features for a fee. For many years (WITHOUT any monthly fees) I was able to receive alerts on my phone to movement, temperature, humidity, and air quality. I could remotely (from anywhere in the world) view live video & audio feed. I could also go back within a 24-hour time frame to view saved 30 second snippets of video and audio footage that the camera captured. All of this & no monthly fees JUST LIKE THEY ADVERTISED. However Canary underhandedly started taking away the free services it had advertised.The 30 recorded snippets went to 10 seconds and then no snippets and then no alerts at all. There was a class action lawsuit against them but unsure of the outcome. Deceitful company.
