The video that is captured is pretty high def, so it certainly is going to use some bandwidth whenever it records and uploads to the Canary servers. One thing to keep in mind is that it only records when the motion detector is activated so it is not continually recording. It is pretty sensitive in this respect, once the motion stops the video recording stops (and picks back up again as soon as motion is re-detected). Depending on your settings and where you place it (high traffic area vs. low traffic), it may only record a few minutes a day. For example, if you have it set to go into privacy mode when you're home, it won't record at all if you are home. So, the only recordings it will take and upload are when you're not home and motion is detected. This is probably going to be rare unless you have pets that activate the motion detect, or often have people in your home when you're not there and keep the Canary in armed mode. Note: If you have it in the standard disarmed mode, it will record even when you're home if there is motion detected so that is not a setting you would probably want to use if you have data limits. Hope that helps.
