Is there a monthly fee involved in this? null

If you prefer to have your home monitored and be able to contact emergency assistance immediately there is an annual fee of $100.00. Personally, I don't see much point in having the Canary without the monitoring/notification capabilities.

Yes. It says it’s just 9.99/month for up to 5 devices

There is no required monthly fee to use the Canary. There is an optional subscription that does unlock some additional features and increased storage if needed. You can find more information about our Memberhsip plan here: https://canary.is/membership/
