No. You can not. You can enable an "Away" mode, and disable the detection feature, but it isn't even remotely a replacement for a security solution or even close to the value that Netgear offers with its Arlo cameras. Please read my full review! You WILL thank me later!! Hope this helps!

Yes it can be armed while you are home.

It can be armed at home or away with the Canary app.

yes my in-laws arm it in the main room while showering for security and disarm it when they come out with no false alarms

Yezzir it can record anything that goes on in your home, regardless if you are present or off site.
